Australian-Made Frame Pre-Order, Shipping & Warranty Policy
Our Australian-made products are not mass-produced commodities.
They are hand-built weapons, made to order, one at a time.
By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept the following terms in full.
Pre-Orders & Build Timeframes
All Australian-made Tempered Products are produced in small, limited batches or as made-to-order builds.

These timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. We will not rush a frame to meet an arbitrary date—quality comes first, always. However, these timeframes aim to be met and exceeded if possible to get you Tempered Goods sooner.
Once your frame enters production, your order CANNOT BE CANCELLED, MODIFIED OR REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
Payment Options & Terms
To provide greater flexibility, customers may choose one of the following payment options at checkout:

Full payment upfront, or
-
Split payment option — 50% deposit paid at the time of order, with the remaining 50% due upon completion of the frame.
Customers selecting the split payment option will receive adequate notice prior to completion to arrange payment of the remaining balance. As a general guide, please allow approximately 10–12 weeks from order placement to have the final payment ready. Timeframes may vary depending on production scheduling.
IMPORTANT CONDITIONS

Deposits are strictly non-refundable.
All frames are built to order. Under no circumstances will deposits be refunded, credited, or transferred. -
Final payment must be made when notified.
If the remaining balance is not paid within the agreed timeframe once the frame is completed, Tempered reserves the right to reallocate the frame to the next customer in the production queue. A revised timeline may be discussed at this point, subject to availability. -
Orders are non-transferable.
Frames cannot be transferred, resold, or reassigned prior to delivery. The original purchaser is solely responsible for all payments, warranty coverage, and all pre- and post-sale obligations. -
Failure to complete payment does not void these terms.
Any delay or failure to complete payment does not entitle the purchaser to a refund, credit, or claim on the frame once production has commenced.

Pick-Up & Shipping Timeframes
Once your frame is completed and cleared through final inspection:

Domestic (Australia): 3–7 business days

International: 7–21 business days (location dependent)

Local Pick-Up: For Australian Made Frames, you have the option to collect from Gold Coast, QLD or Cessnock, NSW. At checkout, please select 'Pick-Up', then in the optional instructions, please write what location you'd like to collect from.
Shipping times are estimates and do not account for customs delays, carrier disruptions, or events outside our control. We will personally contact you when your order is ready to collection at either location.

Hand-Made Variations & Finish Characteristics
Every Australian-made Tempered product is individually hand-crafted.
This means no two frames are completely identical.
You may notice:

Very minor cosmetic variations

Subtle differences in braze appearance

Slight finish inconsistencies
-
Small alignment or visual traits inherent to hand-built steel

These characteristics are not defects.
They are proof of a frame made by human hands—not machines.
By purchasing an Australian-made frame, you explicitly accept these variations as part of the product’s nature.
Warranty Coverage
Our Australian-made frames are covered by a structural warranty against manufacturing faults fro 12 months from date of competition.
Warranty covers:

Structural failure caused by faulty materials or workmanship

Issues arising under normal riding conditions
Warranty does NOT cover:

Cosmetic wear or finish degradation

Damage from crashes, abuse, or improper use

Modifications, alterations, or incorrect installation
-
Normal fatigue from aggressive riding
-
Variations inherent to hand-made construction
All warranty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Proof of purchase is required. It is entirely up to the discretion of Tempered Goods to determine the outcome of the claim.
Refunds, Returns & Order Acknowledgement
Because Australian-made products are custom-built and produced specifically for you:

Change-of-mind refunds are not accepted - regardless of the circumstance

Pre-orders are non-refundable - regardless of the circumstance

Minor cosmetic differences do not qualify for refunds or returns
This policy exists to protect the sustainability of small-batch Australian manufacturing and to ensure we can continue building at this level.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for a major fault as defined by law.
However, cosmetic variation, hand-made inconsistencies, or expected wear do not constitute faults under ACL.

FAQs - WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

No custom sizing or geometry.
This frame is built with intent and locked by design. What you see is what’s forged. -
Raw by nature. Hardcore by build.
This frame is made to last. Being raw, you may notice some surface residue when handling it fresh out of the box. With a few rides and exposure to the elements, it settles in — ageing naturally into a brutal, honest finish. -
Stickers & emblems are in progress.
Final artwork is still being locked for the first production run. Details may change — patience is appreciated while we get it right. -
No refunds. No credits.
Under no circumstances will orders be refunded or credited. This frame is built to order — commit accordingly.

Australian-made frames are hand built.
Each frame is individually welded and finished by hand. Minor variations in weld appearance, alignment marks, or finish are normal and part of the process — these do not affect strength or performance and are not considered faults. -
Finish variations are expected.
Raw and coated finishes may show slight inconsistencies, heat marks, or tonal differences. These are inherent to small-batch Australian manufacturing and are not grounds for return or exchange. -
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
While the maximum wait is 12–16 weeks, production timelines may shift due to material supply, tooling, or manufacturing load. Delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund. Some frames will land sooner as production runs are completed in small, controlled batches. -
Warranty does not cover misuse or modification.
Damage caused by crashes, incorrect installation, altered components, grinding, drilling, welding, or misuse will void any warranty. -
Professional installation recommended.
We strongly advise frames be assembled by a qualified BMX store/mechanic. Improper installation is not covered under warranty. -
